About

Katie is a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders and child feeding.

Eating Disorders

Katie has been working with clients who struggle with eating disorders, chronic dieting and disordered eating since 2001. Katie's experience includes residential, day treatment, and intensive outpatient settings. Katie tailors nutrition recommendations to fit the individual needs of each client.

What Does An Eating Disorder Dietitian Do?

Katie will work with you to decrease thoughts about food; reduce guilt around food and eating, dispel any myths about food, weight, and exercise; get to and maintain your body's genetically predetermined set-point; be able to eat comfortably in social settings; choose foods that satisfy your body and soul; and change your relationship with food.

Child Feeding

After having her first child, Katie realized a great need in the community for parent education/workshops on healthy feeding habits to raise children who have healthy relationships with food and their bodies. Katie teaches an Infant Starting Solids class at Granola Babies Boutique in Costa Mesa as well as Healthy Feeding Habits: Toddler to Teenager for local mom's groups.

Education

Katie received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from California State University, Long Beach.
